Aspects of Diversity Training  

 

Organization Assessment involves executive coaching and training with the top management to examine the inclusion/ exclusion structures and practices of the organization; collaboration with Human Resources and/or Diversity Committees to plan interventions and training.

Diversity Awareness includes training that addresses:

  • Race, gender, world cultural practices and taboos
  • Dynamics of interacting
  • Inclusion / Exclusion behaviors
  • Processing of past experiences of participants
  • Behavioral change strategies.

 Skill Building goes beyond sensitivity and involves practical, experiential training modules to develop:

  • Understanding
  • Dialogue
  • Communication
  • Tolerance and patience
  • Shared vision
  • Love of fellow man
  • Goal of acceptance vs. agreement
  • Acceptable risk taking strategies
  • Willingness to create a new experience of each moment with persons who have a different experience and history.
